The Evolution of Photography
Photography is a wide and general term in the world of today. People take photos in almost all the stages of their lives with a lot of reasons behind this. Other than just taking photos every day, people go to the extent of taking photos in almost everywhere they go. There has been an increase in the market of photography industry. Basically, photography refers to making images. Images in photography are only made using chemical or electronic processes. Electromagnet and chemical methods use light sensors and photography films respectively to make images. Above is a brief explanation of the process of making an image.
Since the invention of photography in the early 1800’s there has been an improvement in photography industry. The type of camera invented in this time was the ordinary film camera. the digital camera was the evolved and became most commonly used in the 1990’s. From 2000 onwards, the mobile industry began to storm their phones with the popular back camera for everyday photography. Photography has become easy to get and use since then. It is normal to find people in different places taking photographs like for example in the streets just by using their phone.
Chemical process is being used in photography to make images in ordinary film cameras. Other than the other parts of an ordinary film camera; the film was a very crucial part. Exposure of the film to direct sunlight would damage it since it was made to be light sensitive. This condition was prevented with a tin covering that was plastic in nature and could not allow light through it. An ordinary film camera had simple procedures of operation. You would simply press the capture button just as long as your image is set. The button is connected to the shutter speed and when pressed it opens to let in a given amount of light. Which therefore makes the chemicals in the film to react causing the image in front of the camera to be saved. Later, the film is taken to stores where it is placed in a machine that has known chemicals that make it turn to negatives. Lastly, the film is then processed to the kind of photos you understand in your desired shapes and sizes.
Advancing in technology has enabled for the production of cameras of the same image but with different operations. Digital cameras do not have films which is seen to be a very important part of the ordinary film camera. They use electromagnetic radiators to function instead. While replacing the film, electromagnetic equipment in a digital camera helps in collecting light and turning them into electronic signals. Basically, a digital camera is made up of a number of parts which are all important in one way or the other.
An important aspect in our day to day lives is the art of taking photos. Photographs help us to remember all that is important to us in one way or the other. Social media communication has been made better as people can easily share their photos. Employment has been created to number of job seeking people all over the world.
